ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


Post-Graduate Diploma in Substance Abuse

  • Bachelor Degree in Counseling recognised by the Senate; or
  • Other suitable Bachelor Degree with three (3) years experience in relevant field recognised by the Senate.

Diploma in Islamic Judicial and Advocatory Practice

  • Bachelor of Syariah and Judiciary with Honours or Bachelor of Fiqh and Fatwa Management with Honours from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia; or
  • Bachelor Degree of Syariah with Honours from any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the Senate; or
  • Suitable Bachelor Degree recognised by the Senate; or
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and relevant professional experience recognised by the Senate.

Master Programmes

  • Suitable Bachelor Degree with Honours and CGPA greater or equal to 2.75 from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia; or
  • Suitable Bachelor Degree with Honours and CGPA greater or equal to 2.75 from any other institution of Higher Learning recognised by the Senate; or
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and relevant professional experience recognised by the Senate

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes
  • Suitable Master Degree with CGPA greater or equal to 2.75 from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia; or
  • Suitable Master Degree with and CGPA greater or equal to 2.75 from any other institution of Higher Learning recognised by the Senate; or
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master Degree and relevant professional experience recognised by the Senate: or
  • Master Degree candidates who are recommended by the Graduate Studies Committee to convert their study to Doctoral Programme with the approval of the Senate.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
 
1. Studies by Research
 
APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR PROFICIENCY IN ARABIC OR ENGLISH.  FOR THOSE WHO ARE WRITING THESIS IN ENGLISH NEED TO SHOW PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH. AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE WRITING THESIS IN ARABIC NEED TO SHOW PROFICIENCY IN ARABIC. EVIDENCE OF PROFICIENCY SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO APPLICATION FORMS. APPLICANTS THOSE WHO WRITE IN ENGLISH ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A SCORE OF AT LEAST 460 IN TOEFL (PAPER BASED) OR 140 IN TOEFL (COMPUTER-BASED) OR BAND 5 IN IELTS OR BAND 4 IN MUET. EVIDENCE OF PROFICIENCY SHOULD BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM.
 
2. Study by Coursework
 
APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A SCORE OF AT LEAST 460 IN TOEFL (PAPER BASED) OR 140 IN TOEFL (COMPUTER BASED) OR BAND 5 IN IELTS OR BAND 4 IN MUET.

Please enclosed certified copy of all certificates, degrees and transcripts otherwise your application will be considered incomplete and therefore will not be processed. All documents that are not in English/Bahasa Malaysia must be accompanied by certified English translation.
