Activities

To carry out research in relation to the concept, the importance
and the connection of fatwa with the needs in the Islamic law
history and present needs.
-
To study various bodies and institutions of fatwa, functions,
organizations, governance, positions and its role in the Malaysian
society and in other Islamic countries.

To study fatwa issued throughout the world from the perspective of
methodology, basis and consideration used in issuing a law as well
as reasons of differences and its effects on social, political and
economic development of the Muslims.

To study the production process and fatwa reinforcement mechanism
s from the perspective of law in Islamic countries and among Muslim
minorities.
-
To form and update published collections, researches and data
related to fatwa which are produced throughout the world as to
form a comprehensive and most updated resource center.

To study and
analyze various types of fatwa produced throughout the world and
to classify them according to types of fatwa, issues and subject
matters, dates and the place the fatwa are issued and the name of
the respective institution that produces the fatwa.

To study the
connection of fatwa and its acceptance in the administrative
policies, law and jurisdiction in the Islamic countries at present
and then.

To study the
uniqueness and other possible differences in issued fatwa based on
various places and environment in the Islamic and non-Islamic
countries as well as among the majority and minority Muslim
society.

To prepare,
market and offer consultation service packages, information,
expert advice and training modules to government and private
agencies, and to Muslim societies in general who are interested in
fatwa and Islamic law.

To gather and
place distinguished researchers and post graduate students to
carry out research activities, seminars and discourses related to
fatwa.

To carry out
publications and documentations of research results, written works
and consultations related to fatwa produced by INFAD and other
activities carried out time to time.

To plan and
hold seminars to discuss issues related to fatwa and to send
officers or researchers to attend and present working papers at
seminars or conferences.

needs of ICT and to build the content and information needed by
the e-fatwa base.
