• To be the most efficient, systematic and updated world fatwa reference and information management center whereby the prime information could easily and quickly be obtained using the information technology and current communication as well as having a chain of relationships and cooperation with other fatwa institutions and other related institutions both locally and abroad.

• To be a versatile research and consultation center in various fatwa aspects that is able to offer expertise and professional input to the society, government and non-governmental agencies as well as other interested parties as to concretize the function and governance of fatwa institution.

• To form Smart Sharing and intellectual dialogue with distinguished academicians and related parties from fatwa institutions, locally or abroad, concerning fatwa matters in order to bring about common understanding and to further establish the fatwa institution.

• To be USIM’s center of excellence which gears toward and enhances research activities, consultations and publications of fatwa at the international level among USIM’s academic staff through frequent interactions and academic cooperation with distinguished figures who work with the institute.

• To bring awareness to the society in relation to various fatwa dimensions and its connection to the Islamic law implementation in different situations and locations of the society as well as to eliminate confusions among them concerning Islamic law as to enable the existence of understanding and unity among the Muslims.
