Centre for General Studies formerly known as Unit of General Studies. Previously there were five unit under Centre for General Studies, which one of the unit is Unit Co-Curiculum. However, on 19th of October 2006 Unit Co-curikulum dissociated from PPU, and currently there were four (4) unit housed under PPU. Stated units is:

1. Unit English Language (TUBER),
2. Arabic Language Unit (UBA),
3. University Compulsory Courses Unit (UKWU)
4. Lifelong Learning Unit (UPSH).
