Consistent with the objective of the University to encourage research activities, the University Sains Islam Malaysia, USIM encourages staff members to form Centres of Excellence (CoE) as a platform to plan and discuss research topics. Centres of Excellence (CoE) can be a functional and strategic team, a shared facility that provides leadership, best practices, research, support, and training in the focus area.

Objectives of the Centres of Excellence (CoE)

  1. Encourage shared learning through niche focus areas, services and research activities including research training and grants within the University;
  2. Promote inter-departmental or inter-varsity collaborations, and by using the best practices around a specific focus area to drive valued results in the research or service area;
  3. Register CoE of INTI International University with the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia
