RAWANG – Demonstrating a strong commitment to community service and environmental preservation, 22 student volunteers from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)’s StraComm Clique participated in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative titled “Nature Venture with StraComm Clique: Breathe, Bond, Belong” at Kanching Waterfall, Rawang, 10th July 2025.
The group, comprising 12 male and 10 female participants, took part in this one-day programme aimed at cleaning and conserving the natural beauty of the popular recreational site, the Kanching Falls. The initiative was led by Programme Director Muhammad Akmal Zuhdi, President of StraComm Clique, who expressed his gratitude for the team’s dedication.
“As the Programme Director for this CSR effort, I am incredibly proud of every participant involved in this volunteering activity. This programme has not only nurtured a spirit of teamwork among StraComm Clique members but has also deepened our appreciation for nature. My heartfelt thanks go to the staff and officers who supported us in making this CSR initiative a success. I hope this marks the beginning of more impactful environmental efforts in the future,” he said.
Throughout the day, participants were engaged in a variety of activities including a cleanup of the waterfall area and the distribution of snacks to visitors. The event also featured reflection sessions, team bonding activities, and a shared lunch picnic to strengthen camaraderie among members.
The event aligned with the group’s mission to foster environmental awareness, social responsibility, and effective teamwork among its members while appreciating the wonders of nature.
