NILAI, 23 FEB 2016 –2016 New Year Message ceremony by the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Hon. Prof. Dato ‘ Dr. Musa Ahmad is on the right track to the Vice Chancellor for launching the USIM Strategic Plan 2016-2025 or its abbreviation PS – USIM : 16 & 25 .

Located at Dewan Tuanku Cancelor , Dato ‘ Musa described the strategic plan is instrumental for sowing support and consolidate the fundamentals and the ability of all USIM’s citizens from academia , group administrators , and student support groups . Uniquely, the Strategic Plan is also aligned with the requirements of USIM MyRA, Ministry of Education (MOE) Key Performance Index and the development of integration of Naqli Aqli knowledge.
This strategic planning supports 10 pillars in Malaysian Education Development Plan (Higher Education) thus USIM outlines 7 core area of excellence:

1. Academic syllabus with integration of Aqli and Aqli knowledge

2. Research that is relevant to Industrial Innovation and Prosperity of Ummah

3. Holistic, Entrepreneurial and Balanced Graduates through the integration of Naqliand Aqli Knowledge

4. Governance and Human Capital Development by Attracting and Retaining Talent by Being Global, Multi Language and Balanced

5. Conducive Physical and Infrastructure to Learning and Education

6.Financial sustainability

7. Consistent and Effective Branding and Positioning

“USIM also adheres to the KPT to use the Integrated Cumulative Grade Point Average System or Integrated cumulative Grade Point Average with initials i-CGPA. I-CGPA will be introduced to new Bachelor students 2016/2017 admission session in which the system will combine academic results of students and graduates using the model of integration Naqli and aqli (GIINA) with a composition of 70% and 30% academic component GIINA components, “said Dato ‘Musa.
He added, for the development of innovation, USIM is aiming to obtain 20 registered copyrights and two patents successfully filed. “This is a proactive measure as USIM has received zero Productivity index in the field of innovation in the past year”.
In addition, USIM is also aiming to commercialize three innovations product that are now available. The efforts have been carried out since last year through the Centre for Innovation, Industry and Community Network for HURMA (patient clothes produced by FPSK students who have been recognized at the international level).
At the same event, The Campus Anti-smoking and Anti-vaping program was launched in cooperation of USIM with Negeri Sembilan Health Department, represented by the Medical Officer (Head of Unit NCD), Dr. Mimi Rodzaimah Abd Karim.

An extension from the operation at the beginning of January, USIM students or staff found in violation of the ban of smoking in campus or vapecan be fined by RM 100. If you fail to pay the fine within 14 days, the fine will be included in the student’s account information system as debt. As for the staff, the wage-cutting measures will be implemented.

At the end of the ceremony, Dato’ Musa presented credentials to the Chairman of the Board Professor of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Taufik Mohd Noor.

Also present were the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tan Sri Shukor Husin , Member of the Board of Directors , Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil , Prof. Emeritus Dato ‘ Dr. Nik Mohd Nasri Nik Ismail , and members of  the Top Management University.
