The highlight of this Roundtable was the full endorsement of two proposals on ‘Sejahtera Leadership: An Educational Incubator and Multiplier Project’ and ‘Sejahtera Leadership Initiative Platform: A Movement for Peace, Sustainability and Compassion’. In today’s global well-being economy, influenced by ever-advancing technology, the constant for every leader and every organization is change. Sejahtera Leadership as an opportunity, which means that managing change well is an imperative for success.
Professor Tan Sri Dzul said, “I believe that learning is the heart of any successful change initiative. No other functional area affects engagement and performance, elevates a brand, or creates a sustainable competitive advantage more. Learning is really essential to human and organizational performance. Sejahtera Learning in organizations has the ability to produce better leaders at every level. This idea of sejahtera leaders who learn is vital in a dynamic environment that demands change faster than ever before.
“Many change initiatives fail to realize their potential benefits. In addressing this, each of us has a choice to make – am I part of the problem or part of the solution. Choosing the latter path may seem disconcerting, but SLI scholars, champions and volunteers with their respective expertise are there to guide every step of the way to the realities for sejahtera. We live in an ocean not a pond.”
It was resolved that what needs to be done in soliciting fund and sponsorship to produce Sejahtera 2.0 brochures, postcards and videos. This project should coincide with ‘Kg Baru Conference’ scheduled August 15 at Oasis Discovery Centre (ODC) in the Oasis Village. In this context, SLI Team and Puan Sri Masrah Abidin visited ODC for an organized tour of the conference facilities and had discussions with Al Jazzura, Chief Politician Officer of POPCON who represented ODC host, Zulkifli Hamzah, owner of LIfescape.
