Collaboration between UniversitiSains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Negeri Sembilan Health Department resulted in preparing a mobile specialist clinic that aims to provide services for the eye treatment for the masses known as Mobile Clips Negeri Sembilan.
At the launch of the mobile eye specialists clinic located in Batu 13 Labu Hilir, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan , YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan, who officiated the service expressed his gratitude to launch this new facility which will be used to help rural people in getting eye treatment with an affordable cost.
Through this facility, rural communities will have the chance to get their eyes examined by a specialist who also has the duty to visit the rural areas throughout the district in the state to provide treatment. A fee of only RM 5 is imposed and the patients will receive treatment and counseling, including follow-up treatment to the hospital if necessary.
“The service is a noble effort to bring together health services which contribute to improving the well-being of society, especially to those who in dire for an affordable treatment. Among the diseases that commonly diagnosed are cataracts, glaucoma, macular degenerative disease, diabetic retinopathy. It is expected that the public can benefit from the services provided, “commented Dato’ Mohamad Hasan.
Also present at the ceremony were the Director of Health Ministry Negeri Sembilan, Dr Abdul Rahim Abdullah, State Secretary, AdunLabu, Datuk Hasim Rusdi and USIM Deputy Vice Chancellor, YBhg Prof Dato Dr Mohd Hanefah and Prof. Dr. Tauffik Muhammad Mohd Noor, the Deputy Director of the Health Specialist Centre USIM.
