KUALA PILAH, April 25, 2017- Centre of Strategic Communication (StraComm), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan Kepis (Felda) organized a Mind Exploration Carnival to discover the potentials of every Felda resident in the effort to transform their mindsets.

The Program Coordinator, En Mohd Asri Hussain said that this is a returning visit after SK Kepis (Felda) participated in the Campus Life program in USIM last year. Hence, it is also a social responsibility of the university to ,in return, give benefits to the society.

Two hundred students from the age of 6 to 12 participated in the program. Several other programs were concurrently conducted such as Interaction session for parents with the entourage team of Professors of USIM (JPU), Know Yourself program for Level 1 & 2 students with U-Reka Club and Matriculation Centre, exhibition of Uniform Bodies conducted by Centre of Soft Skills ( Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Insaniah PPKI) and 7-sided Football match for the youth.

Meanwhile, Deputy Education Officer of Kuala Pilah district, Tuan Haji Kamanizam Tindek showed his support with USIM’s effort in implementing mind transformation through academic program approaches as envisaged by the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, YAB Datuk Seri Utama Mohammad Hassan to bridge the education and social lifestyle between rural and urban schools.

“It’s not just an inheritance but also human capital development such as thinking maturely, making earnest efforts and appreciating what you have. That is how we approach through the transformation of the mind, “he said after officiating the closing ceremony of the Mind Exploration Carnival here.

Also present at the ceremony were the Headmaster of SK Kepis (Felda)) Encik Arifin Md Yusof and Chairman of the Professor Entourage, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Jailani Sukaimi.
