MOROCCO, October 10, 2018- Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University Of Al Sultan Maulai Sulaiman Bani Mallal, University Of Ibn Tufail Qunaitirah, University Of Al Hasan Al Thani Muhammadiyyah, University Of Al Qadhi Iyyadh and Darul Hadith Alhasaniah to further strengthen international collaboration among Morocco Universities and Institution. USIM was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Professor Dato’ Dr. Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan while the Universities was represented by the Vice-Chancellor. The event was witnessed by the Minister of Education, YB Dr. Maszlee Malik and the Director General of Higher Education, Datin Paduka Ir. Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.

The major thrust of the MoU is focusing on exchange students, lecturers, administration staff to learn arabic language, Collaboration in Islamic studies program, join program in supervision on post graduate (Master and PhD), Research on Hadith (Master and PhD) Training and Sabatical.  USIM is committed to be excellent in three tracks in terms of its academic programmes and research. The tracks are Islamic Studies, Quran and Sunnah, Islamic Science, Technology and Engineering, Islamic Arts, Social Science and Humanities.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the initiative of the Ministry of Education Malaysia with USIM to expand the collaborative network between University in Malaysia and Maghribi. The sharing of expertise of lecturers also being highlighted in this MOU especially in Science, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language. May this collaborative network can strengthen the relationship between Malaysia and Maghribi in the future.
