NILAI – Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) had the honour of hosting a courtesy visit by a delegation from Universitas Islam Internasional Darullughah Wadda’wah (UII Dalwa), Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia.
The visit aimed to establish and strengthen institutional relations between USIM and UII Dalwa, particularly in the areas of academic collaboration, research, and human capital development. The UII Dalwa led by Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Solehudin Hasyim, M.H.I., Vice Rector I and Director of Academic Affairs. During the visit, the delegation from UII Dalwa introduced the educational system developed by Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah and UII Dalwa. Particular emphasis was placed on the institution’s Arabic language education system, which represents one of its distinctive strengths in developing a pesantren-based academic tradition.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both institutions to engage in constructive academic dialogue and explore potential areas of mutual collaboration. These included joint research, academic exchange, scholarly publication, Arabic language development, postgraduate education, and other academic initiatives aligned with the respective strengths and expertise of USIM and UII Dalwa.
The visit successfully strengthened the initial relationship between USIM and UII Dalwa and opened opportunities for further engagement in the development of mutually beneficial academic programmes and institutional initiatives. Both parties expressed their hope that the discussions would serve as a foundation for closer cooperation in the future, particularly in the fields of Islamic studies, Arabic language education, postgraduate development, research, and international academic collaboration. USIM extends its appreciation to the delegation from Universitas Islam Internasional Darullughah Wadda’wah for the visit and looks forward to fostering a strong and meaningful academic partnership with UII Dalwa.
