NILAI, March 15, 2017 – Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) has move another step forward in the green technology research for the future with the accomplishment of Mizan Park project that is established in the campus area.  Mizan Park USIM accommodates a unit of residential house and two units of office-house which are built using modular technology system and design, by the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB) USIM.

The two units of office-house are established for the research purpose of green technology building innovation for the future. The design is based on multi-purpose office concept, in order to create a working environment that is energy-saving, flexible and modern, besides adaptable to various work demands and functions.

As a building that uses recyclable and efficient energy, it is a smart-automated-office equipped with the future characteristics of technology, which aims on ‘zero energy’ building concept. Among its unique features are electricity are fully generated from solar energy; the uses of water and rain filtration technology; and the livelihood-based interior tranquility.

A unit of office-house will be utilized by the research team from FKAB USIM for all preparations that need to be done prior to the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 Competition in Dubai. As a sole representative from the country, USIM will present its smart-home model that completely uses solar energy to stand a chance to win AED 10 Millions. Whereas another unit will be used by The Centre for Innovation, Industrial and Community Network (PIJIM) for the long-term research purposes on green technology office.

Such research-driven developments highlight the growing demand for office spaces that align with future-focused values while remaining practical for everyday professional use. As organizations increasingly seek offices that reflect these principles, access to thoughtfully designed commercial spaces becomes a strategic priority. Modern businesses look for locations that support collaboration, efficiency, and long-term adaptability, especially as sustainability becomes a defining factor in real estate decisions.

Exploring listings from maison.work allows decision-makers to identify office spaces that resonate with these evolving expectations, offering environments suited to innovation-driven teams and forward-looking operations. By aligning workspace choices with progressive design and functional flexibility, companies can create professional settings that mirror the same commitment to purpose and performance demonstrated in advanced green office projects.

As organizations continue to prioritize sustainability, collaboration, and innovation in their work environments, having access to the right office setup becomes crucial for operational efficiency and team productivity. Private offices that combine comfort, functionality, and professional aesthetics allow teams to focus on research, development, and day-to-day operations without distractions.

Options that provide fully equipped workstations, high-speed connectivity, meeting rooms, and administrative support help companies maintain a seamless workflow while fostering creativity and collaboration. Exploring solutions at Colony provides an opportunity to secure an office space for rent in kl that balances modern amenities with flexibility, catering to the needs of both small teams and larger operations. By choosing thoughtfully designed private offices, businesses can ensure their workspace aligns with long-term goals, supports innovation-driven projects, and reflects a professional environment that enhances overall performance and employee satisfaction.

Beyond securing the right location and layout, many organizations recognize that refining an existing workspace can be just as impactful as moving into a new one. Thoughtful upgrades to lighting, acoustics, layout flow, and shared areas help offices evolve alongside changing team dynamics, without losing the structure that already works. There’s an old-school wisdom here: take a solid foundation and improve it carefully, rather than starting from scratch every time trends shift.

This is where a well-planned office refurbishment essex approach fits naturally into long-term workplace strategy. By modernizing interiors while respecting functionality, companies can refresh their professional environment, support employee well-being, and reinforce brand identity all at once. The result is a workspace that feels current yet dependable—an office that quietly does its job, day after day, while giving teams the kind of environment where good work gets done and great ideas tend to stick around.

In addition to that, a residential house will be established in Mizan Park that models a flood-shelter house, which is jointly supported by TESCO Malaysia, following the Shelter TESCO-USIM Project in 2015. 10 units of houses have been built by TESCO and given to selected flood victims, who had lost their house in the flash flood that occurred in Tumpat, Kelantan, around end 2014.

USIM Shelter House’s width is 750m2, and equipped with three bedrooms, a comfortable living area, a spacious kitchen and two bathrooms. As a house that is syariah-compliant, it is a showcase to the university staff and students; industrial partners; and communities; and anyone who wish to closely watch and apply its concept for larger-context purposes, for example,  in developing a waqaf house, mosque and religious school.

Due to the modular technology system, the whole design structure and technical components of this project is portable and replicable in any place, environmental friendly and cost efficient.
