The launching ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani, Vice-Chancellor of USIM in conjunction with Amanat Naib Canselor on 20th February 2024.
Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani said, the ownership of the USIM registration number “UQ” is symbolic and carries deep meaning for the “University of Quran”, considering USIM’s niche in promoting the integration of Naqli and Aqli knowledge among its community.
“I hope that the ownership of the registration number “UQ” receives solid support from all communities as well as USIM community including alumni. This registration number is very close to the hearts of USIM community and alumni in ensuring a lasting sense of belonging,” he added.
USIM, through its subsidiary USIM Tijarah Holdings Sdn. Bhd., has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Aquatwo Company, which is fully responsible for the marketing, sales/bidding process, financial management, appointment of marketing agents, promotion, and sales/bidding system of this special registration number.
