NILAI, March 8, 2017 – 38 students among the staff of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) throughout Malaysia who had successfully completed their USIM – BIMB Certification Programme (the third and fourth cohort) were celebrated in a grand graduation ceremony held at Dewan Tuanku Canselor USIM.

The Certificate of Professional Skills Enhancement USIM-BIMB programme has been conducted since June 2015, where 40 students from the first and second cohort had already graduated.

The Vice Chancellor of USIM, Prof Dato Dr Musa Ahmad in his speech, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to BIMB for selecting USIM as a collaboration partner to execute this special programme. This is indeed a great kick-off programme to accelerate the students’ productivity and to improve their work quality in the long-term, especially in administration aspect.

“I believe that this collaboration is a fruitful platform to all students to gain extra knowledge and skills in finance and banking comprehensively. Besides that, I am pretty much sure that they have been exposed to our flexible and efficient learning curve and we always look forward for such collaboration, maybe in any other aspects, in the future”.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr Noor Azizi Ismail, the Dean of Faculty of Major Languages Studies said that this Certification Programme is one of the best mediums to achieve the corporate objectives of both USIM and BIMB as national players in Islamic-based education and banking industries. This programme is run by prominent academicians from Faculty of Major Languages Studies, Faculty of Economics and Muamalat and the Centre for Information Technology. The objective of this programme is to nurture the skills that can lead to high performance culture and excellent productivity of BIMB staff.

“It is hoped that they are able to fully apply the skills and knowledge gained from this programme into their current jobs”, explained Assoc. Prof Azizi.
