NILAI – The Bachelor of English with Commerce (SMBIP) Appreciation and Engagement Day 2026 successfully brought together students, staff and invited guests in a meaningful gathering held at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).

Organised by the Belcommittee, the programme was led by its Programme Director, Azreen Filzah binti Sha’ar Shah, a Year Three student from the Faculty of Major Language Studies. According to Azreen, the event aimed to appreciate contributions within the SMBIP community while encouraging meaningful engagement among students and lecturers. In line with this objective, the invitation of Uncle Paipon served as a strategic effort to create a more interactive and impactful experience for the participants.

The event was marked by the presence of Uncle Paipon, a figure known for his involvement in various fields, including business, media and educational content creation. Widely recognised for his “Nasi Paipon” venture in the food and beverage industry, he also sponsored beverages for the attendees, a thoughtful contribution that was warmly appreciated by the organisers and participants.

During the event, Uncle Paipon engaged with students by sharing insights from his personal and professional experiences, including his career development, life journey and perspectives on giving back to society. Beyond public perception, he has also been actively involved in knowledge-sharing efforts, including podcasts, educational platforms and the publication of an e-book accessible to the public through 3asbab.org.

One of his notable contributions is the publication of a knowledge-based e-book, originally written as a personal gift to guide his own children. The work was later shared openly with the hope that it could also serve as meaningful guidance for others. This decision reflects his intention to extend personal values to the wider community through an effort rooted in sincerity and responsibility.

His involvement in the event highlighted not only his professional diversity but also his willingness to give back to the community in both intellectual and practical ways. For many students and attendees, his presence offered an opportunity to look beyond public perception and appreciate the intentions and values behind his work.

Echoing this spirit, he shared a reminder that resonated with many: “While we receive everything for free from Allah, we too should strive to share knowledge and guidance freely with others.” The message captured the essence of the day, not merely as a celebration, but as a gentle call to give, learn and grow together.

As the SMBIP Appreciation and Engagement Day 2026 concluded, the event stood as a meaningful gathering that celebrated connection, contribution and shared experiences among its attendees. More than just a celebration, it left students, lecturers and guests with a deeper appreciation for individuals who continue to contribute to society in their own meaningful ways.
