NILAI, 8 MAR 2016 – CEO@FACULTY was jointly organized by the Centre for Innovation, Industry and Community Network under the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).A public lecture entitled “The Evolution of Investment Banking and Sukuk” was presented by YM Tengku Dato Sri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB group during the program.
Located at the Dewan Tuanku Canselor, this lecture provides opportunities for students and lecturers to understand the needs of the industry to become an important part of the industry.
It is also one of the platforms to see how industry can help students develop the knowledge and enhance efforts collectively as one of the effective learning process rather than students must attend classes everyday.
Tengku Dato’Sri Zafrul was selected as the first CEO at the faculty as USIM believes that his role as a corporate member does not become an obstacle to good relations with the education sector.
“Through this collaboration with CIMB Group, it is a platform for students to undergo industrial training and at the same time, this cooperation is expected to produce graduates who meet the needs of the industry,” said Dato’Musa.
The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of the Board ofthe University, Tan Sri Abdul Shukor Husin, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and Alumni, Hon Prof Dr Zulkiple, Dean ofthe Faculty of Economics and Muamalat, Dr Amir Shaharudin, and university top management.
